Hennie de Klerk
Founder & CEO
Hennie founded TreasuryONE in June 2000 and successfully built the company with his entrepreneurial spirited drive to unlock financial value for clients by using his more than 30 years’ experience in the specialised field of treasury technology and market risk management.
Apart from his passion for corporate treasury, Hennie is an avid racing and rally driver, and has competed in and finished two Dakar Rallies in 2020 and 2018 respectively – winning the Rookie award in 2018 – the first-ever and only South African to accomplish this. He is participating again in January 2024.
Wichard Cilliers
Head of Market Risk (Director)
As head of the TreasuryONE dealing team, Wichard ensures that clients benefit from the Forex dealing team’s expert currency and commodity trading skills. Not only is he passionate about the financial markets, but is also an avid cyclist, and added the 2019 & 2023 ABSA Cape Epic medals to his trophy cabinet.
Morne Klynsmith
Head of treasury technology (director)
Morne is a leading expert on Treasury Technology with in-depth knowledge of best practice treasury setup, treasury outsourcing models, as well as integration with banks, ERP systems and other financial institutions. He has been involved in Treasury Management System projects for the past 12 years and has completed more than 80 treasury implementations.
Pieter Cronje
Head of cash & liquidity (director)
Pieter is passionate about managing cash optimally and ensures that the Cash & Liquidity team delivers exceptional service. He is continuously searching for improvements and unlocking further value for clients. He enjoys travelling with his wife and chasing down culinary experiences during his free time.
Andre Cilliers
currency risk strategist
Andre’s career in treasury spans more than 30 years. He has gained his extensive currency risk experience in both the banking and corporate arena. Before joining TreasuryONE, Andre headed up the treasury department for a Tier One German international bank in South Africa. As a leading currency risk strategist and expert, Andre is a regular guest on TV and radio.
ALba Schabort
Chief finance officer (director)
Alba qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2012 and soon after exchanged the audit profession for corporate finance. She is passionate about people, creating wealth, and life in general. Her motto is, “work hard, and play hard”. When it is her time to play, you will find her on a touring motorcycle exploring the road less travelled.

Alet is a strategic thinker with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. She is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and building long-term relationships with clients. In her free time, Alet enjoys cycling, hiking and spending time with her family.
