“Forward-looking, strategic, passionate,” – these are the qualities that make a great CFO, explains TreasuryONE’s Founder & CEO, Hennie de Klerk. |
On 16 November, the “Oscars of the finance profession” celebrated the winners of the prestigious 2022 CFO Awards. What a proud night for TreasuryONE, as we were the sponsor of the 2022 “Young CFO Of The Year” Award. During this glamourous awards ceremony, Hennie was called to stage, and handed the award to the winner – Mpolaheng Mohlopi, the CFO of Lanseria International Airport. It was such an honour for Hennie to hand the award to Ms Mohlopi…! For the past three years, she has been focusing on helping Lanseria and its employees survive the impact of Covid-19 pandemic and the subsequent travel restrictions. Six members of the TreasuryONE team attended the event, and it was an evening filled with pride and joy as we witness so many of our clients as nominees. We would like to congratulate each of these exceptional individuals – all winners in their own rights. |

A very special congrats to TreasuryONE client Deon Smith, FD at Thungela, who won the “High-performance team” award. Deon stated that his proudest achievement was completing the demerger and listing of Thungela on the JSE and LSE on an accelerated timeline. The demerger from Anglo American in 2021 meant that Deon had to create a number of new functions in an equally short amount of time, including investor relations, legal, IT, tax and treasury, and TreasuryONE is extremely proud to be part of that journey. |
